Most apps help you find someone. None of them help you keep showing up.

Dating platforms prioritise volume. That's one problem. The bigger one is what happens after, when life gets full, communication gets hard, and no one taught you how to stay intentional about someone you already chose.

How AURO addresses this

AURO reframes dating as a process of understanding rather than selection. Instead of prioritising quantity, it supports clarity of intention, meaningful compatibility, and relationships that can evolve over time.

By combining psychological insight with optional symbolic frameworks, AURO provides structure without prescribing outcomes, allowing people to connect with more awareness and less noise.

Built to support how people actually relate

AURO is designed to support connection with more awareness and context. Not just to help people meet, but to help them understand how they relate, over time and across different stages.

It's built to remain relevant beyond the first match, supporting reflection and growth as relationships evolve.

Intentional Matching

Less noise. More signal. Matches based on how you actually relate, not just who's nearby.

Guided Self-Awareness

Prompts and reflections that help you understand your patterns, how you communicate, what you need, how you show up under pressure.

Relationship Modes

One app for the whole relationship. Whether you're still finding each other or already building something, AURO moves with you.

Couple Mode is designed for people already in a relationship who want to grow with more awareness and intention. It supports reflection, communication, and alignment over time, recognising that relationships evolve rather than remain static.

The focus shifts from matching to understanding and shared growth, while building something longlasting.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is AURO?

AURO is an app for building a relationship on purpose. Dating Mode helps you meet a partner with intention. Couple Mode gives the two of you a weekly ritual to keep showing up for each other, even when life is full.

Is AURO a dating app?

Partly. Dating Mode is for meeting a partner with intention. Couple Mode is for what comes next: a weekly ritual for the two of you to keep showing up for each other. AURO is built for both stages, so you don't have to start over somewhere else.

We're already a couple. Can we use AURO without dating on it?

Yes. One of you creates an account, chooses Couple Mode, and invites your partner with a link. You each have a profile, but only the two of you can see them. There's no feed and nothing public, just a private space built around a weekly ritual to keep showing up for each other.

What's a weekly ritual?

Ten minutes, once a week, for the two of you to show up for each other. It's short and guided, and shaped by how you each communicate and what you each need. Some weeks it's a question to talk through; some weeks it's a small thing to do together. The rest of the week, you just live it.

How does Dating Mode work?

You tell AURO how you relate: your love languages, values, lifestyle, and what you're looking for. We use that, along with practical things like distance and who's been active recently, always within your dealbreakers, to introduce you to a small set of people at a time, each with a plain-language note on why. You'll never see a percentage or score on anyone.

Does AURO use astrology?

Yes, as an optional layer. If you add your birth date, time and place, AURO creates your chart, and it becomes one of several things we consider when introducing you to people, alongside your values, lifestyle and how you relate. You can switch it off in settings, and we'll rely on everything else.

Is AURO free?

Partly. Dating Mode has a free version that stays free, and your first 7 days are the full experience, with no card needed. After that you keep the free version, and you can always see and talk to the people you meet. You can upgrade for $9.99 a month ($89.99 a year) for advanced filters, unlimited date proposals and the full written note on each introduction.

Couple Mode is one subscription for the two of you: $14.99 a month, or $119.99 a year. Your partner never pays. It starts with a 14-day free trial, counted from the day you both join, not the day you sign up. We show you exactly when the trial ends and remind you before it does, and you can cancel any time before.

Is AURO therapy?

No. AURO isn't therapy and doesn't replace it. It gives the two of you a weekly ritual to keep showing up for each other. If something feels bigger than a ritual can hold, a couples therapist can help. If you're in crisis or don't feel safe, please contact a professional or a crisis line: in the US, call or text 988, or call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233 (or text START to 88788).

What happens to what I write in the app?

Your journal, check-ins, and rituals stay private to you and your partner. Nothing you write in your journal or messages is ever sent to the AI. When you've said yes, the AI (a model from Anthropic) sees only a short list of profile traits, like your love languages, to write your weekly ritual. What it writes is a suggestion, nothing more. We never sell your data, and there are no ads.

You can delete your mood history or your account at any time in Settings. Anything the AI has written for the two of you is deleted with the account; if you want it gone sooner, write to hello@aurolife.app.

If you delete your account, we keep it deactivated for 30 days in case you change your mind. After that, everything you wrote is deleted: your messages, journal entries and check-ins. Your partner keeps their account and everything they wrote.

If your partner deletes their account, everything they wrote is deleted after 30 days: their messages, journal entries and check-ins. What you wrote stays yours. Shared moments on your timeline stay, with your partner shown as “Deleted account”.

Does AURO use AI?

Yes, to personalize your weekly ritual. It's a model from Anthropic, and we ask before the first time we use it. If you say no, the app keeps working with our ritual library instead. The AI never sees your journal or messages, and what it writes is a suggestion, nothing more.

When can I use it, and where?

AURO is being tested privately in the US, and we're preparing a closed beta with a small group of couples before launch. Public launch is planned for early 2027, US first, on iPhone and Android. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when it's ready.

Who is behind AURO?

AURO is built by Kobas Labs LLC, a small team that has shipped software together before. We started from a simple idea: relationships rarely end in drama, they fade in the quiet gaps between people, and we built AURO to give those gaps a weekly ritual. You can reach us at hello@aurolife.app.
